Hands-On-Teach-To-Learn Course is designed for Home Child Caregivers to “See, Sing, Use, Do, Teach, & Take-home” as a way to learn complex early child development school readiness skills. The course was designed for new language learners or providers with limited English, but we have found that it is an intense learning strategy that works people at all levels of language learning.

Strategies include:

  • “SEE” Pictures for the Children’s Curriculum & Picture Guides for Quality Home Child Care for Preschoolers
  • “SING” songs that build school readiness skills for preschoolers
  • “USE” & “DO”
    1. Children’s Curriculum activities
    2. Activities to understand each of the Components of Quality Home Child Care for Preschoolers
  • “TEACH” the activities to their colleagues in class
  • “TAKE-HOME”
    1. Literacy-Based Children’s Curriculum Packets
    2. Picture Guides for the Components of Quality Home Child Care for Preschool
